Destination Think’s next Senior Strategic Consultant will bring intellect and compassion to shape meaningful, responsible tourism recovery with our team and DMO clients.
Are you Destination Think’s next strategist? You’re no doubt aware of how important the next few years of tourism recovery are. The pandemic’s Great Pause has brought humanitarian and economic crises. It has also drawn attention to tourism’s potential negative impacts, including its role in the current climate emergency. That’s why today’s leadership has the responsibility – and the opportunity – to reshape the tourism industry for the sake of climate justice and future generations.
This big moment requires the coordinated efforts of courageous thinkers and doers. In that spirit, the Destination Think team is searching for a destination marketing strategist who will help our clients reimagine tourism.
The newest “Thinkling” will work alongside all of us at Destination Think in our mission to make a better world through tourism and travel. That person will collaborate closely with our team of tourism strategists, including Sarah Prud’homme, Frank Cuypers, and Chief Strategist William Bakker.
“This is a perfect role for someone who believes in tourism and wants to have an oversized impact,” says William. “We have an incredible, world-leading team. We look forward to working with someone who wants to advance our thinking at a high level and join the hard but rewarding work of making change happen with our clients.”
Over the last few years, our strategists have:
- Designed tourism recovery plans at the provincial and state level.
- Collaborated on Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s 2020 Place Brand of the Year.
- Created The Love of Tourism, a strategy for regeneration.
- Developed the Europe-wide Horizon 2022 strategy.
- Completed a state-wide rebrand of Colorado’s tourism regions.
We have the wind at our backs, and we’re hiring. If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to join Destination Think, do work you can be proud of, and contribute at a high level to solutions for some of tourism’s greatest challenges, this is the time.
