We’re excited to announce that city- and destination-marketing expert Frank Cuypers has joined Destination Think as Senior Strategic Consultant in Europe.

Frank brings expertise in marketing strategy plus destination development and branding. This addition to the team expands our capacity and capabilities in being a full-service strategic consultancy partner for tourism marketing strategy, service design and product development, creative and integrated campaigns, digital, content and social media marketing, research or benchmarking.

Frank CuypersFrank’s arrival is timely. Many cities in Europe are now pushing well ahead of the destination development curve. There they understand that the destination experience isn’t just limited to visitors: it’s important to residents, too. City marketing organizations also incorporate economic development and have input into how a city is planned and run.

A true authority in city marketing and destination development, Frank spent four years providing consultation to the management team of Visit Flanders and helped them through organizational change to become well-respected leaders in niche marketing.

In addition to being a speaker at international conferences in North America, Europe and Australia, a marketing professor, and an advisor in policy and place-making for a variety of European cities, Frank has also been a business journalist, festival programmer and manager of business intelligence and marketing research. He is also a keen traveller and insists on returning to Berlin each year because it’s an “ever-unfinished city”.

Frank also recently started a new project about urban DNA called Why Your City?. Please join us in welcoming Frank to the team. Contact him at Frank@destinationthink.com.

    Sehr geehrter Herr Cuypers,

    Helga Strohmayr
