“This is your chance to stand up and make a difference, to be that leader in your industry, to support them through crisis.”

– William Bakker, Chief Strategist at Destination Think

Destination Think Virtual Forum began today with a presentation on strategic planning for uncertain times led by our Chief Strategist William Bakker. William unpacked a critical and pressing topic for destination marketing organization (DMO) leadership: data collection, analysis, and scenario development through the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also answered crowdsourced questions along with Destination Think’s CEO Rodney Payne.

This was the first of a three-day series of sessions designed to support destination marketers through the challenges our industry faces in light of COVID-19.

  • Session 1: Strategic planning for your destination through the COVID-19 crisis
  • Session 2: Adjusting your destination’s communications through the COVID-19 crisis (Watch the presentation.)
  • Session 3: Managing your destination and supporting your tourism industry through the COVID-19 crisis (Watch the presentation.)

All sessions are at full capacity, but we will provide recordings when they are available.

What can you do next? Join the new COVID-19 Network for DMOs

In today’s talk, CEO Rodney Payne revealed a new support initiative to help destinations through the COVID-19 crisis. The COVID-19 Network will provide destination marketers with insights, data, resources and support groups as we journey through this time together.
